Ordinary vinyl paints seal a wall behind a plastic-like film that can trap moisture. Hemp-mineral finishes are vapour-open, so water vapour moves through them naturally.

- Lime binders are strongly alkaline (high pH), an environment mould struggles to colonise, while the breathable, moisture-buffering surface avoids the damp conditions mould depends on.

- Screened to the ASTM D3273 method; resistance is strongest when the surface stays vapour-open and is not sealed behind an impermeable coating. This is designed resistance — not mould detection, elimination, or a health claim.
