What it is
A premium retrofit hemp surface system for calmer, warmer, more traceable interiors.
Atmos mounts over your existing drywall, plaster, masonry, concrete, or wood on a low-profile rail — no cavity work, no demolition, a visible result in days. It carries most of the everyday benefits people feel in a room: quieter acoustics, tactile warmth, softer light, and a material you can trace. Where you genuinely need insulation, we'll point you to a deep hemp-lime wall instead.
The honest distinction
A retrofit surface — not a deep insulation wall.
New build or heavy remodel
Deep hemp-lime wall
- Built inside new or heavily remodelled walls
- True insulation & thermal mass (R-value)
- Whole-building energy performance
- A construction project
Retrofit over finished walls
Hempire Atmos™ surface
- Installed over your existing finished walls
- Surface warmth, comfort & acoustics
- Quieter, healthier, more beautiful rooms
- No demolition — a visible result in days
This guide is about this one
Most everyday benefits — sound, air, comfort, beauty — belong to the retrofit surface. Where you genuinely need insulation and thermal mass, a deep hemp-lime assembly is the right tool, and we'll tell you so rather than overselling a thin surface.

Measured to your room
Planned for the wall you already have.
Atmos is measured to your room, not sold by the box. We take the wall you have, plan a layout of 24″ × 48″ hemp surface panels over it, and mount them on a low-profile rail — a removable, serviceable face with a Trace™ passport, no demolition.
An 8′ × 8′ wall, for example, is eight panels — about 64 sq ft of continuous surface. Enter your own dimensions in the Studio to see the panel count, coverage, and a planning estimate.

- 01
Substrate check
We confirm the existing wall — drywall, plaster, masonry, concrete, or wood — is a suitable, sound substrate.
- 02
Mounting rail
A low-profile rail or cleat system is fixed to the existing surface. No cavity work, no demolition.
- 03
Atmos panel
Hemp surface panels mount to the rail as a continuous, serviceable face — individually removable later.
- 04
Finish
The chosen finish — woven linen, fiber core, or oak slat — is completed for the room's palette and light.
- 05
Trace™ tag
A QR/NFC material passport tag is registered to the wall, so the surface carries its own record.
Finish & customization
Three finishes — or your own.

Traceable by design
Every surface carries its own record.
Each Atmos wall is registered to a Trace™ material passport — hemp source, binder, finish, batch, and install date, plus the test reports on file and care guidance. Tap or scan the tag, and the record travels with the room.

Grows into
Start with a sample or a room review.
Feel the finish in the hand, or talk through a wall for your space — and, when you're ready, the same surface can grow into a smart wall.
Hempire Atmos is a retrofit interior surface system. Performance depends on product configuration, substrate, installation method, room conditions, and product-specific testing. It is not represented as a structural wall, fire-rated assembly, soundproofing system, life-safety system, or deep hemp-lime insulation wall.
